Technology Lead - Java

Location: Pune, India

Work Status: Full-time
Number of Openings: 1

Responsibilities

• Provide technology leadership to the insurance platform solution development team
• Map high-level business specification to platform functionalities
• Develop high-level and detailed level design of software components
• Perform coding and unit testing of complex modules and services
• Conduct design walk-through with development team
• Plan, monitor and review the software development team’s output
• Coordinate with onshore development team on software development
• Assess technical details, schedule risks in projects, and report status to the project managers

Required Skill Sets

• Degree in engineering or a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree with minimum five years’ IT experience in relevant roles
• Java / J2EE, XML, Web services, Struts
• SQL, PL / SQL
• Database modeling and query tuning
• Insurance certification from LOMA
• Experience on insurance administration products and platforms
• Experience in Indian insurance industry is a plus
